Diving and discovering a turtle whether 50 feet away or 50 feet below, is always exciting! We have learned to "split up" safely of course, and to corral it in between us. It will actually look you right in the face as if to ask, "Who are your and what are you doing here?" It is always amazing to realize how long they can stay under water without returning to the surface for air. (They don't even have scuba tanks.) It is truly mind bogling to realize the abilities of these docile and timid creatures.
